Running a consult that ends in a yes
Fewer redraws and fewer second thoughts on the day: how to send a preview, what to ask for, and how to get a clear approval before you book the session.

Most redraws don't come from the drawing. They come from expectations that were never pinned down: the size the client imagined, where exactly it starts, how it looks from behind. A good consult settles those before anyone books a chair.
Before you send anything
- Confirm the placement in words first: which side, which body part, roughly where it starts and ends.
- Agree on a size range in real units.
- Ask for a photo of the area if it has existing work or scars you'll design around.
Send a preview, not a screenshot
A screenshot answers one angle. A 3D preview lets your client answer their own questions. In InkVista3D, open the project's Share tab, create a link and choose an access code. Send the link and the code to your client. They open it on any device, with no account or app, and turn the body around themselves.
Ask for a clear answer
"Looks cool!" isn't an approval. In the preview your client either presses Approve design, or pins a comment right on the spot of the body they want to talk about: "a little lower", "smaller here". You see both in your project, and you have a clear record of what was agreed when you're cutting the stencil weeks later.
Handling changes
When feedback comes back, change one thing at a time: size, then position, then the artwork itself. Update the design in the same project and your client sees it on the same link, with a note that you've updated it, so you don't end up with three conversations about three different files.
On the day
Bring up the approved preview at the start of the session and check it against your client. Then print the stencil at the size you agreed. Here's how to go from an approved preview to stencil and social media.
